The National Privacy Principles established by the Privacy Act 1988 apply to ProCare Personnel.

ProCare primarily holds personal information for recruitment & placement operations; staff management & training; client & business relationship management; & marketing.

ProCare will not collect personal or sensitive information unless it is necessary for the performance of its tasks or functions. 

What your personal information is?

Personal information is any information or opinion (whether true or not) about you.  It would include the opinion of others about your work performance (whether true or not), your work experience and qualifications, aptitude test results and other information obtained by ProCare in connection with your possible work placements. 

Personal information includes sensitive information as defined in privacy legislation.  It could include, for example, relevant information about your health status or information obtained lawfully via a criminal history check. 

Under privacy laws ProCare only collects personal information if it is necessary for the performance of one or more of its tasks or functions as subject to the exceptions set out in the privacy laws.  ProCare would not collect sensitive information without your consent. 

When your personal information will be collected

Personal and sensitive information will be collected from you directly during your application and when:

1.	ProCare receives any reference about you.
2.	ProCare receives results of enquiries that it might make of your former employers, work colleagues, professional
	associations or registration bodies.
3.	ProCare receives the results of any competency or medical tests. 
4.	ProCare receives performance feedback (whether positive or negative). 
5.	ProCare receives information about any investigation, litigation, or professional disciplinary matter, 
	inquest or inquiry in which you are involved. 
6.	You provide ProCare with any additional information about you. 

Your information will be used:

Your personal and sensitive information may be used in connection with:

1.	Your actual or possible work placement.
2.	Your performance appraisals.
3.	Any test or assessment (including medical tests and assessments) that you might be required to undergo. 

Your personal and sensitive information may be disclosed to:

1.	Potential and actual employers and clients of ProCare.
2.	Referees.
3.	Any person with a lawful entitlement to obtain the information.
